Many people don’t think that their house would accommodate an indoor hammock. But in actuality, besides a formal dining room, hammocks work great inside the house. Everyone knows how relaxing it can be to spend a summer afternoon lying on the hammock in the sun. Hanging a hammock indoors displays your originality and independent spirit and can serve as quite a conversation starter.
Hammock chairs offer many different seating positions. You can lean back slightly with your feet up, or sit upright with your feet on the ground for more control over the direction of movement. Another option is to bring your feet inside and sit cross-legged. Adding a pillow or two can change the experienced quite dramatically. They are not normally required, but most people like pillows and they can also add to the visual appeal. Most models use a spreader bar above your head which maintains the shape of the chair. A rope or chain goes from the spreader bar, to the branch of a tree, a beam in your house, or a suitable stand.
