Aircraft Wheel Operation

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

Aircrafts are hard to design and build. Modern tools are required for building these heavy vehicles. One single aircraft takes years to be produced and comes out of the airbase only after continuous building effort of big engineers and mechanics. Wheels play an important role in the operation of aircraft. Without these wheels aircrafts won’t be able to stand on the land. Wheels help the aircraft to slide on the highway and fly into the air. The wheels of aircrafts are supported by the shock absorbers. Without these perfect shock absorbers aircrafts won’t be able to balance their movement.

Engineers use special tools for repairing the wheels. Generally lifting the wheels of aircraft and repairing them is a difficult task. For such operations mechanics use plane jack. This jack acts takes support of the ground and lifts the wheels for repair. Plane jack has the ability to lift the aircraft wheel without causing any damage to it.

It eliminates the stress on the plane and makes repair easy. Aircraft battery chargers have the ability to increase strength of the powerful airplane batteries. These chargers are unlike ordinary vehicle chargers. They have high energy generating potential. Mechanics take utmost care in repairing the aircrafts and use only sophisticated tools for repair.

Scooter Performance Ways

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009

Do you have a scooter and its not running well? Have you got your scooter checked through an automobile expert? Some of your scooter parts might not be working in alignment and need either overhauling or a complete replacement. Remember! Your scooter is a self – propelled machine in your control, and just like any other automobile it also needs piston, accelerator, break shoe, to keep it working smoothly and smartly. Scooter parts such as carburetor, oil seals, and wheel ball bearings also serve to add performance and life to your scooter engine. Today, with advancement in technology, different scooter component manufacturing companies are coming out with low cost options on scooter spares.

These also include, quality performance scooter batteries, providing real thrust and energy to move the machine higher speeds and with fast pick up too! Acid and gel batteries are two most popular genre of batteries used in scooter. Scooter battery lights the headlamp, and sparks the ignition to provide the engine with its first start. Remember, in order to keep your scooter in a perfect and healthy condition, it is necessary that your scooter battery remains always charged. It would be a sane idea if you get it checked from any standard automobile’s outlet.

Fast Cars Basics

Cars are just cool. They are truly a magnificent piece of technology. They can be slow and safe vehicles for soccer moms in some incarnations and incredible speed machines in others. Fast cars are really interesting for just about anyone. Even people who aren’t mechanically inclined should find the field an interesting thing to study. Learning about the intricacies of car customization is one fun hobby that can have some great products. There isn’t much better than having your own fast car.

If you are really interested but don’t know where to start, then you can look at a few places online. A number of store are centered around hot cars and they have all of the parts and pieces that you could eventually need. One of the best ways to learn is to merely immerse yourself in the world and find out everything that you can. What do I do now??

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

My SLK 320 has been purring like a kitten.. today I had to go to some little independant station. I had less than a quarter tank of gas. I filled up with premium. I was not 2 miles down the road before somethng didn’t feel right. The car seemed to be trying to die while going 40mph. It did die when I stopped at traffic lights. On the way home on the freeway it still tried to die at 70 mph.. then died again when I had to stop at a light.. NEVER had any issue like this until 2minutes after I gassed up. I even called the station to see if they could tell me if I accidentally purchased regular instead of premium .. they said I had used premium..I am very afraid to damage my car..what should I do from here?

With the high cost of fuel today, the independent stations are not filling their tanks and as a result, the water that collects in the tank is inadvertently dispensed with the fuel. Add a container of HEAT to the tank, this will disperse the water and allow it to pass without causing you to experience this problem. The heat is inexpensive, less than $2.00. it is used in cold climates to prevent freezing of water in the fuel tank and supply lines.

it could be the gas filter clogging up with you, or you got some water when you filled up. i have a little tip for you, never get gas at a station, when you see a tanker truck there, they stir up the dirt in the tanks when they are filling them up

………………

Hey ur car will be fine…Go 2 ur local auto parts store, (I recomend Oreilly Auto Parts) Purchase a product called HEET It should be n a yellow bottle. (Ask the dude @ the counter) This one lil bottle will treat up 2 25 gallons of gas, thats plenty 4 ur 320. Pour the whole thing in and WA-LA! Ur baby is purring again. I recomend buying 2 bottles so u can keep one in ur trunk just incase! good luck! Let me know how that works for u!

……………….

the gas station probably puts garbage in their gas. Could be transmission. Take what gas is in their out. Find a more reliable place.

…………….

sounds like you got bad gas or your fuel pump may have picked up some debris from the bottom of the tank after you refueled and your fuel system became clogged from it.

Does anyone know where I can buy a(n) 1910 Ford Model T & how much you think it would cost?

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

I can’t drive yet, but I might be able to save for it. Please tell me.

Try hemmings motor news.
If there is a car you want or a part you are looking for, sooner or later (if one still exists) there will be an ad in Hemmings Motor News.
You might want to look into Model T or A reproductions. Best of both worlds. The Model T is a trick to drive, pedals to select gears, throttle on the column, manual spark advance, and no starter motor (or heater).
While reproduction (fiberglass and metal) can use modern power trains and have all the accessories that you may want (like a electric starter).

…………..

Why a 1910? The model T was built between 1908 and 1927 and none of them are up to todays traffic, without a whole lot of modifications. The early era was called the brass era because of all the brass used on them and makes them really expensive.. Maybe you are thinking of a Model T hotrod built from a fiberglass kit…they can run from $10k and up..

My pit bikes clutch is dead?

Friday, July 4th, 2008

today i went riding with mates and my clutch lost all tension, the spring came off but i put it back on and it made no diffrence, so now i cant get any tension in the cable someone help coz i really at a dead end.

well things mite just be in the wrong place when you put the spring back on, you failed to mention the bike, is it chinese or what?
It the prolem is external it be fine and you can fix it yourself, if its internal you’l need the clutch plate to come off, look at your mates bike and check the difference,
The problem could lie with the position of the cable or spring

Knocking in Engine?

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

Like an idiot I ran my pickup through some deep water today. The truck is a 98 ford ranger 3.0l V6 with a 5 speed manual trans. The truck died. I pushed it out of the water, and started it. I noticed a light knocking at RPMs slightly above idle. I pulled the dipstick and found it milky. I know that there was water in the intake. But I don’t think it hydrolocked as it started back up after I pulled the intake pipe. I bought 3 oil changes worth of filters and cheap oil, plus my normal motorcraft oil/filter combo. I also bought some STP oil treatment.

Do you think it is a bent Con. Rod, or a lifter? I’m praying for a lifter…

I plan on doing several oil changes to hopefully remove the water, then add the STP for added protection with my normal oil.

Sounds like you did hydraulic the motor and bent at least one of the rods slightly . Situations like that won’t effect the lifters , usually the rods give out

What do you think of air powered automobiles?

Friday, June 13th, 2008

Read the links below and post your opinion.

http://www.businessweek.com/autos/conten…

http://www.inhabitat.com/2008/02/26/tran…

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_car

It sounds Interesting.
It won’t be “The only Fix”, but may benefit some drivers in small towns or comunities..

………..

They are a goofy concept. A friend of mine is excited about air cars. He thinks they will work better than electric cars. Both electric and air powered cars have about the same specs. They are defiantly an alternative to gasoline

………….

the technology is not very viable for this country due to the sheer size of the USA. The USA is 3 times the size of india.

What is the difference between all wheel drive and 4×4?

Thursday, June 12th, 2008

some vehicles are equipped with all wheel drive, meaning they are in 4×4(high) at all times. this provides better traction, but can reduce fuel economy. vehicles that state they are 4×4 mean they have a transfer case, and you can “lock in” the front tires so they will drive along with the rear, giving you better traction. normally 4×4 vehicles, the back tires are the only driving force untill you engage the front tires. also, 4×4 vehicles generally have a 4×4 low, and a 4×4 high. the 4×4 low is for extreme traction, at a low gear ratio, meaning you cant drive over 20-30 mph because of low gear ratio. the 4×4 high, is for higher geared traction, such as rainy conditions, thus all wheel drive, and 4×4 high are basically the same, other than you can go from 4×2, to 4×4 high, to 4×4 low, and a all wheel drive basically stays in 4×4 high all the time….. whew………..

—–

Manufacturer’s labeling. Either one is capable of sending power to all four wheels, although it may not do this all the time.

Some people will claim that an “all wheel drive” car must have a center differential and a “four wheel drive” one instead uses a locking transfer case, but I’ve seen cars with “all wheel drive” badges with locking transfer cases and vehicles with 4×4 badges that use center differentials.

———

All wheel drive has an additional differential that can send power to the front OR rear. 4×4 has a transfer case that sends power to the front AND rear.
