Print Your Own Invitations

Saturday, July 4th, 2009

Have you ever thought about how to print your own invitations? I think that some parties and occasions have such simply printed invitations that it would be really easy to do it yourself. Of course you would need a decent printer and some good card stock paper but that should not be that hard to get hold of. There are lots of computer programs these days which have templates and designs for cards so you would not even have to be that creative yourself.

You can even look up wording and/or poems on the Internet so you do not have to think about what to put inside. It is a really good way to personalise a card and save money at the same time. It is likely that the invites will be more appreciated too which is always nice and it is likely that some people will not even be able to tell the difference. It is worth experimenting to get the right look and style but that should not take too long and think how rewarding it will be when you produce something of a professional quality which saves you a lot of money and gives you great satisfaction.

Indispensable Tools for Painting

Monday, March 30th, 2009

Painting is the work of an art, which requires a perfect balance, patience and imagination. It’s not something that can be taught or learnt like other subjects. It is innate and for presenting this art on paper, you need to have all your painting tools in place and arranged. These tools include, canvas, portfolio cases and different types of art supplies. The portfolio case is all the more important thing to protect your creation from dust and other atmospheric affects. Many of the artists order their own portfolio cases so that they get exactly the same kind, as the one they had always desired.

The cases are designed fro leather, acrylic, cardboard and many other materials. In order to portray their creative pursuits on paper, artists love to go for stretched canvas. Many artists have gone for the transformation, primarily because they consider that such a transformation have made it easy for them to carry their canvas easily from one place to another. Furthermore, since stretched canvas is easy to manage and comfortable to draw on, it becomes the natural choice for most of the artists. You can choose from a wide range of canvas options by browsing the online inventory.

Protective Gear

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

Safety is very important for just about everyone. No one wants to be hurt in their line of work, but accidents will happen. The best steps you can take are preventative measure to limit their risk. The best news is that most of them are just simple measures that can be done without spending an arm and a leg.

The first thing to consider is a good safety harness. If you will ever have any employees performing work that involves climbing, you need to have at least one safety harness. They are affordable and easy to store. A standard harness is just a few cords to wrap around the vital points and the cable and anchor that act for support.

Others may need some form of safety glasses. This tends to lean towards technicians, engineers, and just about anyone who works with chemical. The simple explanation is all about damage control. A splash of a tough chemical on your face is bad. If you wear safety glasses, then you will protect your sensitives eyes from any damage and be able to clean the chemicals from your face.

The last is just related to general electrical safety products. These could include any of the devices your electricians need to be safe. These involve insulated gloves, boots, and blankets along with general grounding devices on the machines. It’s hard to get too specific on the topic without a full report. Just remember to check OHSA standards and ensure that all your electrical demands are handled.

Understanding the Basic Philosophy behind Tantric Yoga

Friday, August 15th, 2008

While most forms of yoga seek to unite the mind, body and spirit in harmonious oneness, tantric yoga actually takes that process to a higher spiritual level. This type of yoga is tied to many Eastern religions and philosophies that all stem from the belief that the universe and the individual are intertwined. The process of tantric yoga involves concentrating one’s energy to achieve spiritual regeneration and awareness. This type of yoga cannot be taught in books – it is generally learned through devotion to a single yogi who passes the philosophies and discipline down to other students.

What Happens During a Tantric Yoga Session

A tantric yoga session will involve the process of sitting calmly and freeing one’s mind of any impurities or distractions. Then the student will begin to assemble his life force, which is a concentration of energy from within his being. Generally the life force will begin at the base of the spine, and work upwards until it is centralized at the forehead. This force is then directed out of the forehead, to form a light or body of energy that is thought to be the soul of the person. Love is sent to the soul before it is directed back inside of the person, leading to a feeling of enlightenment and renewal.

Tantric yoga is actually considered more of a life philosophy than simply an exercise program. It can be used effectively in quitting many bad habits, including smoking, drinking and overeating. This can mean that someone who subscribes to this philosophy can lose weight and achieve optimum health in other ways as well. In fact, quitting unhealthy habits is one of the core processes that are involved with the practice of tantric yoga, and the keys to successfully completing this process are found within the discipline itself.

If you decide that tantric yoga is the right type of yoga for you, you will find that the benefits of this style of yoga can be great and far reaching. In addition to the physical benefits that you will enjoy from any type of yoga, like increased flexibility, balance and muscle tone, you will also see an increased awareness in all levels of your conscious state. It can also affect your sex life positively by enhancing sexual function and increasing stamina. It is even thought to improve prostate function in men who perform this type of yoga regularly. Tantric yoga can improve your health in physical, mental and even spiritual ways.

What are some good instrumental songs/ or non-instrumental songs to do ballet to?

Friday, July 25th, 2008

I have songs from romeo&juliet and titanic but i need more ideas. NOT JUST FROM MOVIES!
When i say instrumental for ballet, i listen to stuff like “Direction” by Interpol and “Kissing You (instrumental)” from Romeo&Juliet and a lot of other stuff.
I also need songs that are good for tap and/or jazz too.
Preferably music that adults/teens would dance too but some little kid stuff would be helpful too, because I teach dance as well.
The music can be old or new, I’d prefer new music but old is sometimes better.(:
Hope that explains enough.

Here are some interesting ones that are not overused:

Instrumental Ballet:
“Comptine D’Un Autre Ete” - from the movie Amelie
“Classical Gas” - Vanessa Mae
“Andare” - Ludovico Einaudi
“Magic Hour” - Ahn Trio
“Dream” - Ahn Trio
“Shootout, Pt. 1″ - from the movie In Bruges (it could be really fun to dance to! More of a modern style of ballet)
“Explosive” - Bond
“Allegretto” - Bond

Non-instrumental ballet:
“23″ - Jimmy Eats World
“Here Comes the Sun” - The Beatles
“Because” - from the movie Across the Universe (this is a remake of a Beatles song, but its so soothing and would look beautiful)
“Without You” - from the musical RENT
“Everytime it Rains” - Charlotte Martin (very powerful)
“Sugarcane” - Missy Higgins (this would work really well for little kids)
“Lullaby for a Stormy Night” - Vienna Teng
“Cannonball” - Vienna Teng
“Happiness” - Goldfrapp (this one could be funky and upbeat. very different!)

Tap:
“Wikked Lil’ Grrrls” - Esthero (make sure it’s the clean version!)
“We Will Rock You” - Queen (good for kids since its not too fast. I choreographed a tap for some kids to this song at they loved it!)
“Toy Soldier” - Britney Spears
“Wonderful Night” - Fatboy Slim
“Technologic” - Daft Punk (the younger girls at my dance studio tapped to this for recital and it came it well!)
“11h30″ - Danger
“Pink Panther Theme (Techno Remix)” - Dream Chaser
“Sparkling Diamonds” - from the movie Moulin Rouge
“Diamond Hipster Boy” - Washington Social Club

Jazz:
“Popular” - The Veronicas
“Bones” - The Killers
“Paralyzed” - Rock Kills Kid
“Fruit Machine” - The Ting Tings
“Feeling Good” - Michael Buble
“Heart of Glass” - Skye Sweetnam
“Prelude 12/21″ - AFI
“Feel It” - Jakalope
“Unforgiven” - Fefe Dobson (very thrashy)
“Strict Machine” - Goldfrapp
“The Libertine” - Patrick Wolf (kind of dark, but would be amazing!)

Where does the last name Mostafa come from?

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

And also, is Mustafa and Mostafa the same thing?

This information came from www.ancestry.com it doesn’t give an origin though.
Mostafa Name Meaning and History
Muslim: variant of Mustafa.
There is quite a lot more written about the name *Mustafa*.
Mustafa Name Meaning and History
Muslim: from a personal name based on Arabic mu?s?tafa ‘chosen’, from Arabic ?safa ‘to be pure’, ‘to be select’. For Muslims, Al-Mu?s?tafa is an epithet referring to the Prophet Muhammad, while among Arabic-speaking Christians it is applied to St. Paul. Mu?s?tafa is among the most popular personal names in the Islamic world. In Turkey, it is often chosen in honor of Mustafa Kamal Atatürk (1881–1938), founder of modern Turkey.
Spanish (of Arabic origin): from the Arabic personal name (see 1 above).
Italian: from the Arabic personal name (see 1 above), or from a nickname from Calabrian mustafà ‘strong man with a walrus moustache’.

Talent Show help!?

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

I need a good song that a 12 year old could sing for a talent show. I really want to win this.
I already have these but please still recommend.
1. Waitng for the world to change by John Mayer
2. Angels by Robbie Williams
Please Help!

The most important things are that you
-choose a song that suits your voice
-choose a song that suits your personality
-choose a song that you are comfortable with
-choose a song that you love to sing

Then go out there and enjoy yourself singing it. Your energy and love for the music will communicate itself to the audience.

………….

it depends lol i had the same problem but with a girl song. anyway… it depends on teh voice. if your kinda high than do something like maybe your favorite artist does liek something by chris browm that you think you could pull off or if your low than do the waiting ion teh world to change song! good luck=D

……….

Just chose a song that fits your voice & personality & make sure you are comfortable with it.
I would suggest Kiss Kiss By Chris Brown, but make you practice a few days before the talent show so you can remember the lyrics.

……..

HI! I THINK YOU ARE A VERY TALENTED GIRL AND YOU SHOULD NOT WAIT FOR THE WORLD TO CHANGE RATHER YOU SHOULD CHANGE THE WORLD .
AND I AM SURE YOU WILL DO IT. SWEET ANGLE YOU SHOULD SING ANGLES BY ROBBIE WILLIAMS.
