Ideas for a memorial tattoo for my mom on my wrist?

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

I lost my mom almost 2 years ago, and since then I’ve been thinking of getting a memorial tattoo in her name. I’m only 16, but I’ve thought long and hard about this decision, now I’m just waiting for the perfect tattoo idea. I want the tattoo on the inside of my wrist, so it must be small. I also want it simple. My only idea is the date, 7-21-06, because I think it would look neat and clean, but still mean a ton. Does anyone have other cool ideas, or examples of your own?

i have a memorial tattoo for my dad of a little girls hand inside a mans hand, and below it, it says “there was always love in daddys hands”
ive been thinking long and hard about a memorial tattoo for my mom as well. i have done some research on a couple things. i have looked up famous paintings of a woman and child, something simple. i have yet to decide on what i want, but, i want it to be perfect. just think of something that reminds you of her. like alot of people have said, her favorite flower, a nickname, mom, dates, maybe some words of an inside joke that you two shared. something that would only make sense to you.

Bathroom mess??

Friday, June 27th, 2008

ok my bathroom is a mess and i clean it and it just seems to get messy again!!! is there a product that wroks to keep you clean and organized? if so can you plz post the website of were i can look and maby buy the product thanks!!

This is what I did, and it worked well.

I bought an over the toilet stand with a cabinet. It gave me three more shelves in the bathroom and someplace to put hairspray, brushes, clips, etc.

I bought a shower caddy. A rack for the shower for shampoo, conditioner, razors, etc.

I bought a small laundry hamper. It was decorative so I don’t have to hide and empty it everyday.

Two towel bars.

and a toilet paper caddy w/ a tissue holder on top.

For under the cabinet, I bought clear bins for other things like make up, other hair products, and cleaning supplies.

——

Cleaning it regularly keeps it clean. Bathrooms get dirty when they are used. Nothing is going to stop that.

Does anybody know a software as good as or better than SoundForge? Does anybody know how to get it for free ?

Soundforge is an incredibly good piece of software an Freeware alternative would have a hard time competing.
However two of the best are….

Kristal Audio Engine…

What should be done about the high price of oil?

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

What should be done about the high price of oil? I’ve thought about this problem and I haven’t really been able to think of any solutions (not any short term ones at least). Some ideas that have been put out include producing more oil and having more alternate energy. Yet the former (as the Saudis have been doing in recent months) hasn’t lowered prices and the latter (alt) won’t make an impact for a while. What other ideas do you have for solving this problem? What should people, government (if any action should be done by officials) and companies do? What are your thoughts about drilling off the coast (offshore oil drilling) ?

Technically, I don’t think oil is a finite resource. It takes millions of years to produce, but it means that it gets produced naturally. I think we should go to alternatives in the long-run also we should use light rail more than using cars anyways.

——

i think we use oil for many things, but if we make those things work in electricity instead than atleast we could make the use of oil less? my teacher once told me to make electricity you need oil sometimes.

i just saw that program yesturday about oil in descovery or animal planet channel, i don’t remember, they made an electric car which atleast runs for a little miles and then thats it.

I figured what if they make the power of that car come from the solar energy, and then at night they use the battery instead of just using the battery would be really good?

As far as i know oil is a finite source of energy. Therefore the only way is to come up with alternatives.

Knocking in Engine?

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

Like an idiot I ran my pickup through some deep water today. The truck is a 98 ford ranger 3.0l V6 with a 5 speed manual trans. The truck died. I pushed it out of the water, and started it. I noticed a light knocking at RPMs slightly above idle. I pulled the dipstick and found it milky. I know that there was water in the intake. But I don’t think it hydrolocked as it started back up after I pulled the intake pipe. I bought 3 oil changes worth of filters and cheap oil, plus my normal motorcraft oil/filter combo. I also bought some STP oil treatment.

Do you think it is a bent Con. Rod, or a lifter? I’m praying for a lifter…

I plan on doing several oil changes to hopefully remove the water, then add the STP for added protection with my normal oil.

Sounds like you did hydraulic the motor and bent at least one of the rods slightly . Situations like that won’t effect the lifters , usually the rods give out

Talent Show help!?

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

I need a good song that a 12 year old could sing for a talent show. I really want to win this.
I already have these but please still recommend.
1. Waitng for the world to change by John Mayer
2. Angels by Robbie Williams
Please Help!

The most important things are that you
-choose a song that suits your voice
-choose a song that suits your personality
-choose a song that you are comfortable with
-choose a song that you love to sing

Then go out there and enjoy yourself singing it. Your energy and love for the music will communicate itself to the audience.

………….

it depends lol i had the same problem but with a girl song. anyway… it depends on teh voice. if your kinda high than do something like maybe your favorite artist does liek something by chris browm that you think you could pull off or if your low than do the waiting ion teh world to change song! good luck=D

……….

Just chose a song that fits your voice & personality & make sure you are comfortable with it.
I would suggest Kiss Kiss By Chris Brown, but make you practice a few days before the talent show so you can remember the lyrics.

……..

HI! I THINK YOU ARE A VERY TALENTED GIRL AND YOU SHOULD NOT WAIT FOR THE WORLD TO CHANGE RATHER YOU SHOULD CHANGE THE WORLD .
AND I AM SURE YOU WILL DO IT. SWEET ANGLE YOU SHOULD SING ANGLES BY ROBBIE WILLIAMS.

Boarding School

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

Boarding schools have been around long enough yet they are more common in the west than in eastern countries. These schools are primarily set up to give, not only good education for their students, but also food and lodging. Most students who attend such educational institutions have to stay longer at school than at home. Most spend majority of their childhood and adolescent lives in these schools. When parents agree in such a setup, they are actually training their children, the earliest time possible, to be independent in all aspects. Most wealthy families send their children to such schools.

Teenagers (whether the behaved ones or the troublemakers) could definitely benefit from such a setup. For those who do not have any behavioral issues, a teen boarding school would suffice where they would be educated in preparation for their college lives.

Boot camps for teens, on the other hand, are there mainly to make right what could be a wrong adolescent period for most juvenile delinquents. This, of course, depends on how the parents view this type of setup. Boot camps teach discipline and respect for others which some teens could pick up and where others might not. Parents should be very careful in sending their children to such schools. They should first consult with a competent psychologist before actually enrolling their teens.

Free E-Filing of Federal Income Taxes

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

The burdens and costs of regular tax matters have been reduced considerably through the free filing system currently in place in the United States, especially after the signing of the Free File Tax Agreement between the Internal Revenue Service and Free tax File Alliance, LLC. The Free File Program, has since then been made available to the general public, as a more convenient means of handling federal income tax concerns.

This online service is free to eligible taxpayers – those with a 2007 Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $54,000 or less. Should this amount be exceeded, there is usually a fee charged by the companies providing tax services in line with the Free File Program. There are, however, those who still offer such services for free. There are affiliate member-companies of the Free File Alliance LLC who offer a free federal tax filing based on your state of residence.

These online services are also supported by assistance from qualified professionals ready to answer questions, and there are a number of assistance centers to help those who are having difficulties in dealing with their tax returns. There is also a large number of available pamphlets, publications and materials all geared towards reducing the usual dilemmas associated with tax preparation procedures and filing. With this tool, moreover, the taxpayer is made aware of incentives such as tax credits or refunds which he might be entitled to.

Any one else pretty shocked Tim Russert died?

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

Yeah I just saw that as I logged on to Yahoo! i was very shocked to say the least, did not expect that!! He seemed like he was in decent shape, I mean he was only 58!! His family must’ve had a history of heart problems or something, that or he must’ve been a smoker or had a terrible diet. Who knows?? It was just his time I guess…

—–

I’m always just a little surprised and saddened when someone goes before their time (and yes, people, 58 counts). When it’s someone who is seen on a regular basis like he was then it adds that much more of a stun factor.

When I heard it on the radio my mouth hung open. He was so young! I started crying because he was such a nice guy and he always reported the news like he was talking to you, like he knew you.
